Peggy’s Dream: Living Life with Down syndrome

My award-winning documentary aired on KFAI’s Minneculture program. The project included funding from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

This long-form audio narrative portrays Peggy, a woman with Down syndrome, as she enters middle age. What are her dreams? What are her challenges? How does Peggy’s Down syndrome affect her family and her future? America’s treatment of people with Down syndrome has changed over time. This portrait of Peggy shines a light on what’s possible.

My roles: Reporting & research, interviewing, field recording, scriptwriting, narration, sound design, sound editing & mixing, final engineering for broadcast
