Pushed Out of Congress and Into the Kitchen

MN90: Minnesota History in 90 Seconds

Listen to the Story

I produced this radio spot for MN90: Minnesota History in 90 Seconds, a collaborative audio project from the Minnesota Historical Society and AMPERS.

Coya Knutson made history as the first woman from Minnesota to serve in Washington. But, Knutson’s estranged husband and a coterie of political rivals conspired against her. They wrote the infamous “Coya come home!” letter, which caused Knutson to lose re-election and return to Oklee, Minnesota.

My roles: Reporting & research, interviewing, field recording, scriptwriting, narration, sound design, sound editing & mixing, final engineering for broadcast
